The person that goes by the name of 'calisto23' on the forum has scammed me out of around $180 AUD.
I messaged him about his service for flights & hotel bookings to which he then responded with his Telegram however it was not a valid username (he obviously sent a fake TG username in order to get me to send my username so there would be no proof on the forum of his actual Telegram account being linked to his scam). I then sent him my Telegram username and he had contacted me there. We talked for a bit and had discussed all the terms, what I wanted, rates etc. I eventually decided on the hotel I wanted and he told me that I was to pay 40% of the retail price of the hotel, and that I would have to pay half of the 40% upfront and the rest after checking out of the hotel. I eventually paid him and he claimed to be working on it however almost 24 hours later the job was still not done. I then asked if it was possible to get a refund if it didn't work as I needed the hotel booked due to the sensitivity of time. He then agreed to that and I gave him several hours and follow up messages about the refund, he kept telling me to wait and then he eventually just stopped replying and then proceeded to change his username on TG and blocked me. I'm sure that there's been other complaints about this guy as his scam is pretty smart and he covers his tracks fairly well.
