what is the alternative of PIDGIN?

i can not no more open my icq on pidgin, i heard it's not allowed anymore to use any third party software to login to icq?
or is there any other way , any other setup i should change to gain access on pidgin again?
please help.

@relaynode, why you prefer an app like pidgin for icq and not use icq directly from browser?
If you are using a mac, may check if Adium app fits your needs

I assumed he was asking about an alternative to pidgin encryption since that is main reason to use it.

and there is many alternatives to this one i just left this one as an example

u all not answering my questions.
i use pidgin because u can go on jabber / icq / IEM / and other its like a tool to open many accounts on it.
+ there's plugins like OTR and many that secure and protect the conversation / logs etc

I gave you an alternative, Adium, but works for Mac only (as far as I know)
