how fast paypal transfer can be executed?

for example:
i just see the item online.
then i just want to purache the item.
I mean if the funds will be realised on seller account then seller will be confident and will ship the item out.
as im not experinced with paypal but im confident it will work if the funds will reach the seller account.
anyone have idea if the paypal will be good to use for this?
