Fail2Ban uses Python to review access logs and detect brute force intrusion attempts, creating rules in the iptables file to block access to certain IPs. Sometimes, if we look at the log of SSH or FTP access attempts, we will see that it is huge, and attacks can occur even every second if we do not take the appropriate measures.
