What machine to use to encode cards?????

I will be buying card info to encode onto blank cards or gift cards using a encoder device. I'm new to all of this. What encoder would be best to buy? Here's a link to one:

Will that one be good enough?
Also, is there anything else I should know? Any advice would be helpful. I'm going to go into stores and but items to pawn for money.
