You have to skim the tracks, how u do it and where you do it, is what adds variety.
Some use ATM, some POS, some are insider at bank who open the envelope and then skim it. It just varies. Some tap the network communications between atm and processor. But it works when improperly implemented banking system or you have the encryption keys.
